Without the amazing support from our extraordinary partners, we would not be able to do all the work we carry out with our young men. We would like to pay particular thanks to all our funders, the prisons, the probation service, the councils, community organisations and partners.
How Can Corporates Help?
Employer prejudice remains one of the most significant barriers to ex-offenders finding work.
With the help of our supporting businesses, we’re partnering with the corporate sector to give young offenders another chance at employment.
Our Key4Life participants are:
- Four times more likely to be employed, a year after their release, than their peers.
- Four times less likely to re-offend. (Due, we believe, to the early intervention of a variety of businesses engaged pre and post-release.)
Over 100 companies support Key4Life across a range of sectors including hospitality, insurance, music/entertainment and construction.
How do businesses benefit?
- Mentoring programmes develop and engage your staff: 82% of our mentors have used skills they developed through Key4Life at their workplace
- Hosting a 3-day Work Taster helps diversify your workforce: carefully pre-screened, coordinated work tasters provide a low-risk way to meet talented, diverse people you wouldn’t have otherwise meet
- Following the employment of any participant, we provide support and regular check-ins
- Lead an employability workshop or raise funds as a Key4Life partner and your company can play an integral role in the development and positive transition of some of the UK’s most disadvantaged young people. You will be joining a consortium of leading companies helping young men into employment
- Employing ex-offenders helps you meet your social responsibility goals, while also helping to reduce the cost of 18.3 billion per year to the taxpayer
